In the News

I was reading today about the compensation payout for a victim of a brutal 2004 robbery. A young man, wheelchair bound with Cerebral Palsy was attacked at home. He had his throat cut and was stabbed 3 times in the back. The perp's stole a video camera which they later sold to a drug dealer in exchange for $50 worth of pot. It is sickening & appalling. Unfortunately he went through criminal compensation instead of a common law suit which saw him receive an amount of $75,000.
That is not an awful lot when you have lost the ability to speak. And I imagine would barely cover the medical costs. One perp was jailed for 18 years, the other 10 ½

The victim had to give up his dream of flying, his work with radio and is now in the care of his Mother. I cannot believe anyone could be that calleous. I hope the pricks rot in prison.

Just Precious - Really

I just wanted to show you what my little girl does when ever I sit down to eat. If Sheekah cannot reach my fork in an attempt to dislodge the food, she will tap on my arm or my leg to get my attention. It really is the sweetest thing.
